Resident Evil 4 (2023) is a remake of the 2005 game, not the original release. Six years after the disaster in Raccoon City, Leon S. Kennedy is sent to find Ashley Graham, the US president's kidnapped daughter. His search takes him to a remote European village whose residents behave as though something has taken control of them. The remake keeps that central mission while rebuilding the presentation, controls, and parts of the story.

You move Leon from an over-the-shoulder view, search rooms for supplies, and decide when to fight or conserve ammunition. The knife can help in close combat and parry some attacks, but it wears down. Merchants let you buy and improve weapons between dangerous stretches. Ashley accompanies Leon through parts of the mission, so keeping her safe also changes how you approach a group of enemies.
Capcom developed and published this version for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on March 24, 2023. Later releases on other devices do not move it out of the 2023 collection. Its ficha is clearly labeled with the year so it will not be confused with Resident Evil 4 from 2005, and it uses Capcom's actual remake cover rather than fan art.
