Fighting depends on more than a weapon's damage. High, middle and low stances change how a weapon behaves. Ki is the energy used for actions such as attacking and dodging; the Ki Pulse is a timed way to recover it. Weapons, armor and character growth let you develop William while learning enemy attacks. Guardian Spirits add supernatural support and combat abilities.
The original PlayStation 4 game first released on February 7, 2017. Sony Interactive Entertainment published the United States PS4 edition. Nioh: Complete Edition arrived on Windows PC on November 7, 2017, published by Koei Tecmo. It is a later edition; the original game's launch date and platform should not be replaced by the PC edition or a PS5 remaster. This page's cover and gallery come from the original PS4 product.
The United States PS4 game is rated ESRB M, for ages 17 and older, with Blood and Gore and Violence. That is the original Nioh rating, not the separate Complete Edition record.
