Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth

Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth is a cozy puzzle adventure from Norwegian developer Hyper Games and publisher Kakehashi Games. Moomintroll wakes from hibernation while winter still covers the valley and the rest of his family sleeps. He sets out to bring back spring, wake Moominvalley and reunite with Snufkin. The game combines 3D forms with painted 2D elements to evoke Tove Jansson’s watercolor art, while a deformable snow layer reacts to characters moving through the landscape. The story includes familiar characters and visual references to Jansson’s work, including Too-Ticky, the Ancestor and Hattifatteners. The PC edition released in late April 2026; the PlayStation 5 version launched September 18, 2026. Players should check their regional platform store for current availability and language support.
