Minit is a top-down adventure built around a sixty-second life. Picking up a sword on the shore gives the main character a curse: when the minute runs out, the character dies and returns home. The goal is to explore the world and break that curse, not to finish the whole game in one minute.

Progress can survive a restart. Items you find stay with you, and their abilities can open paths that were out of reach earlier. Discovering another home also gives you a different starting point for later runs. This turns the timer into a planning problem: decide which person, room or obstacle to reach during the next minute.

The world is shown from above with black-and-white pixel art. There are characters to help, routes to learn and puzzles that depend on more than simply running fast. The gallery shows indoor rooms, town paths and open desert so you can see the layout and visual style before playing.

Kitty Calis, Jan Willem Nijman, Jukio Kallio and Dominik Johann created Minit; Devolver Digital published it. The original PC and PlayStation 4 release was April 3, 2018, with Xbox One also part of the original April launch. The PC version supports Windows, macOS and Linux.

United States rating: ESRB E (Everyone), with Mild Fantasy Violence. The ESRB listing covers PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Check the local store listing for other platforms or countries.
