Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes is a three-on-three crossover fighter built from two different character libraries. Marvel heroes and villains meet Capcom fighters in matches where the active character can call one of the two teammates for an assist, then tag out to let another fighter take the lead. That bench rotation is important because resting characters recover some life while the player keeps pressure on the opponent.

The game is designed around fast movement, air combos, super moves, and assist timing rather than a slow round-by-round duel. Arcade and Versus matches make a good first stop, while practice lets you learn how a character's normal attacks connect into launches, air strings, and hyper-combination finishes. The roster covers several play styles, from straightforward martial artists to characters who control space with projectiles or unusual movement.
For a first session, choose a team with different assist ranges instead of three characters who all solve problems the same way. Learn one safe way to call an assist, one launcher, and one super before chasing advanced air-combo routes. Keep an eye on the reserve characters' health, because a flashy exchange is not worth exposing the teammate you need for the next matchup. This is the 2000 three-on-three game, distinct from Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
