In Hitman 2, Agent 47 travels to a series of large locations with specific targets to eliminate. A mission can start at a busy motor race, a neighbourhood or a dangerous forest. You are free to walk around, listen to conversations and learn the layout before acting. A door, guard or crowd that blocks one route may be easy to pass by taking a different path or wearing a suitable disguise.

The fun comes from finding opportunities and trying a plan, not from shooting through every area. You can use objects found on site, distract a guard, change clothes and reach places that were previously restricted. People react to suspicious behaviour, so watch who is looking and leave yourself an exit. Missions reward replay: the same target and map can be approached in different ways. The pictures below show a crowd, a guarded path, a disguise and a close-range encounter, so it is clear what you will actually navigate.
IO Interactive released Hitman 2 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 13, 2018. It follows the 2016 Hitman game and is separate from Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, which came out in 2002. The 2018 game is now presented alongside other World of Assassination content, but this profile is for its original release.
