God of War Ragnarok

Fimbulwinter is underway, and Kratos and Atreus travel across the Nine Realms while Asgardian forces prepare for the prophesied Ragnarök. Atreus is searching for knowledge about the prophecy of Loki and his place in the coming conflict. Kratos must protect his son while confronting the consequences of his earlier choices. The story moves between Kratos's combat-focused sections and chapters that place players in Atreus's role.

Combat is built around the Leviathan Axe, Blades of Chaos, Guardian Shield, bare-handed attacks, ranged options, dodges, parries, runic attacks, and character abilities. Kratos and Atreus gain new skills, weapons, armor, shields, and equipment as the story advances. Exploration connects combat arenas, puzzles, hidden paths, optional fights, and side quests across large realms with different traversal and environmental systems. The game remains a directed single-player adventure rather than a multiplayer title.

The free Valhalla DLC adds a separate epilogue after the main story. Kratos enters Valhalla with Mimir and repeats combat-focused attempts influenced by roguelite design. Stats, Runic Attacks, and Perks reset between attempts, while chosen rewards and resources support persistent upgrades. Valhalla is included with the PC version and available as free DLC for PS4 and PS5 owners.

The PlayStation versions support PS4 and PS5, with a digital upgrade path, while the PC edition includes technical features such as unlocked frame rates and high-fidelity options.
