Fading Echo follows One, a young Legend trying to save Corel from a spreading force called the Paradox. She can transform into a blob of Æther, the game’s waterlike element, to surf through pipes, squeeze through narrow spaces, launch herself through the world and attack from above. Æther also interacts with lava, energy, toxic waste and other hazards, so combat and puzzles reward experiments with the environment.

Corel has fractured into alternate realities. One can move between versions of the same location to open routes, find missing elements or change the resources available in a fight. Maddock leads the Paradox on Corel, while a small group of allies helps One discover both the origin of the threat and her own history.
Emeteria, a New Tales studio, launched Fading Echo on PlayStation 5 on September 22, 2026. A playable PS5 demo is available. The official launch post calls it a single-player action-adventure RPG.
