Isaac Clarke is an engineer who survived the disaster aboard the USG Ishimura in the first Dead Space. Three years later, he wakes on the Sprawl, a huge station near Saturn, with gaps in his memory and disturbing visions. Another outbreak has turned people into creatures called Necromorphs, and Isaac must fight through the station while looking for answers.

His armored suit is recognizable by its glowing blue visor and lights. Tools such as the Plasma Cutter become weapons against the creatures, while other systems let him move objects or use them against an enemy. The Sprawl changes from tight indoor passages to open, weightless spaces. Suit boosters allow movement in zero gravity, adding a different kind of navigation and combat to the station’s corridors.
Visceral Games developed Dead Space 2 and Electronic Arts published the original Windows PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 release. EA’s launch announcement records January 25, 2011 in North America and January 28 in Europe. This page covers the original sequel, not the later remake of the first Dead Space. The official cover and gallery come from the original game’s PC store assets; no present-day multiplayer availability is promised.
