Cocoon is a puzzle adventure built around worlds inside worlds. You guide a small winged creature through strange landscapes filled with old machinery and powerful guardians. The story is communicated mostly through places, sounds, and actions instead of long conversations, so the player learns by observing what an object does and trying it in a new setting.

The main puzzle tool is an orb that contains a world of its own. You can carry an orb, enter its world, or place it somewhere else to affect a device. Later orbs gain different abilities that work in other worlds, which makes a puzzle about moving between layers rather than simply finding a key. Some areas end with a guardian encounter that asks you to apply what you have just learned.
Geometric Interactive developed Cocoon, with Annapurna Interactive publishing it on September 29, 2023 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Its official poster shows the central orb idea, and the gallery shows actual puzzle spaces rather than unrelated promotional art.
