Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 is the first main Capcom-versus-SNK crossover, bringing characters from both companies into a 2D fighter. Instead of forcing every team into the same number of characters, its ratio system lets the player spend a limited amount of strength across the selected fighters. A powerful character can occupy more of the team budget, while a larger team can cover more matchups with less individual strength.

The other major choice is the groove. Capcom Groove uses a three-level power gauge with a familiar stock-and-super rhythm, while SNK Groove is based around charging power in a way closer to early The King of Fighters games. Those choices change how a player builds meter, approaches pressure, and plans a round. Arcade and Versus are the clearest modes for learning the system, and the cast gives each side a mix of rushdown, zoning, grappling, and charge-based styles.

For a first session, use a balanced ratio team and play a few matches with each groove before changing the roster repeatedly. Learn the normal attacks that reach safely, one anti-air, and the conditions for the chosen character's strongest super. Keep the ratio plan in mind when a round goes badly: protecting a high-cost anchor may be more valuable than trading it early. This entry is Millennium Fight 2000, not the updated Millennium Fight 2000 Pro or a later Capcom vs. SNK sequel.
