Kit Harington is no longer closing the door on Jon Snow. The Game of Thrones actor says he can imagine a version of the shelved sequel working, even though HBO has not revived the project.
Harington helped develop the series for about two years before walking away. He now says that taking other roles and spending time outside Westeros has made him more comfortable with the character again.

During a new Happy Sad Confused interview, Harington said he still believes “there’s a world in which something could work.” He did not reveal a plot, writer, or new meeting with HBO.
He also explained that he, HBO, and author George R.R. Martin agreed on one rule during the original development: if they could not find the right story, they would not make the show.

The sequel entered development after Game of Thrones ended, with Harington involved in shaping the idea. After working on it for roughly two years, he decided the story was not ready and that it was not the right time to return.
