Overview

The Failure at God School is an announced television anime adaptation of the manga written by Natsu Hyuuga, known for The Apothecary Diaries, and illustrated by Modomu Akagawara. In its modern Japanese setting, gods exist. Third-year middle schooler Nagi Himiya receives an acceptance letter for Kannagara Academy, a school attended by students with powerful divine abilities. She does not know her own divine power and is quickly branded a failure, but high-ranking god Tsukuyomi senses something special in her. The official introduction promises secrets about her power, past and future. The TV adaptation was announced September 17, 2026, with a first key visual and creator artwork. Hakusensha published manga volume 15 on September 18 and offered a limited preview campaign for the first five volumes. The cited official anime site has not confirmed a TV premiere date, animation studio, voice cast, episode count or international streamer. This title is separate from The Apothecary Diaries despite sharing story author Natsu Hyuuga.
