Suikoden: The Anime

Suikoden: The Anime is a 2026 television adaptation of Konami’s role-playing game Suikoden II. Riliu and Jowy begin as boyhood friends serving in the Highland Kingdom’s Unicorn Youth Brigade. Conflict in the Dunan region forces them into decisions with consequences far beyond their own lives, while Nanami and a much wider ensemble enter the story. The original game is known for its 108 Stars of Destiny and for placing a personal friendship inside a sweeping war; the official anime premise follows that foundation without promising to reproduce every game scene. Toshiki Kumagai voices Riliu, Shimba Tsuchiya voices Jowy and Ayumi Hinohara voices Nanami. Taku Yashiro voices Luca Blight, Katsuyuki Konishi voices Viktor and Yuichi Nakamura voices Flik. The official site lists YUZO as chief director, Michihiro Tsuchiya for series composition and Koji Nakamura for music. The opening is amazarashi’s “Kanashimi sae Otonabite”; the September third promo introduced ending song “closed eye sun” by Koji Nakamura featuring Honoka Takahashi. Japanese television is scheduled to begin October 3, 2026 with a 60-minute first episode. International streaming availability and times have not been confirmed by these sources.
