Overview
Walpurgisnacht Rising is the direct sequel to Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion. Homura Akemi has remade the world to keep Madoka Kaname close, but new magical girls and the return of Walpurgisnacht threaten that control. Akiyuki Shinbo returns as chief director, Gen Urobuchi wrote the script, Ume Aoki designed the original characters, and Shaft produced the animation. The Japanese voice cast includes Aoi Yuki, Chiwa Saito, Kaori Mizuhashi, Eri Kitamura, Ai Nonaka, Kana Asumi, Emiri Kato, and Maaya Sakamoto.
