MARRIAGETOXIN is an action-comedy anime based on the manga written by Joumyaku and illustrated by Mizuki Yoda. Hikaru Gero belongs to the Poison Masters, one of the Five Great Families in the underworld, but he has no experience with romance. When his family threatens his sister’s future to preserve its bloodline, Gero decides that he must marry and produce an heir himself. Mei Kinosaki, a brilliant marriage swindler targeted during one of Gero’s jobs, becomes his relationship adviser. Their partnership combines assassination missions and battles with the Masters with Gero’s attempt to become a viable husband. Haruki Ishiya voices Gero and Shion Wakayama voices Mei. Motonobu Hori directed the first season at Bones Film, with series composition and scripts by Kimiko Ueno and character designs by Kohei Tokuoka. Season 1 aired for 13 episodes from April 7 through June 30, 2026 and currently streams on Crunchyroll in multiple regions. Season 2 premieres in January 2027. The exact day, episode count, Japanese broadcaster, international streaming service and new-season staff and cast have not been announced.
