Demons' Crest adapts Reki Kawahara's story about Yuma Ashihara, a sixth-grade student who takes part in the beta test for Actual Magic, a full-sensory virtual-reality MMORPG. A forced logout does not end the danger: the game begins mixing with the students' real world, turning the experience into a fight for survival. The characters and setting belong to a separate story, not a continuation of Sword Art Online. Haruka Shiraishi voices Yuma, whose Actual Magic class is Monster Tamer. Konomi Inagaki voices Sawa Ashihara, a Mage; Yuya Hirose voices Kenji Kondo, a Martial Artist; and Satomi Amano voices Minagi Sano, a Priest. The cast also includes Yusuke Kobayashi as Teruki Sugamo, Maaya Uchida as Aria Misono, Rie Murakawa as Kai Kisanuki, Sora Amamiya as Sumika Watamaki, Atsushi Tamaru as Shin Haizaki and Ayumu Murase as Kakeru Niki. Production I.G produces the animation, with REIRS handling CG animation. Shinji Ushiro is chief director, Kenichiro Komaya is director and Eiji Umehara handles series composition. Kawahara's original work is published through Dengeki Bunko and KADOKAWA, with original illustrations and character designs by Yukiko Horiguchi. Yuki Hayashi and Naoyuki Chikatani compose the music. Ado performs the opening theme, Shinka, and Soala performs the ending theme, ReaL. The anime premieres November 6, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video worldwide. This is a future release, not current streaming availability. The second promotional video was released October 2, followed October 3 by battle artwork and separate Actual Magic costume images for Yuma, Sawa, Kenji and Minagi. A confirmed episode count, English-dub cast and U.S. age rating have not been announced with these updates.
